Alexandra Kamins
An avid animal lover since she chased inchworms at age 3, Alexandra Kamins is now a PhD student in Veterinary Medicine. She studies how some diseases in animals may make it into humans, specifically from fruit bats in Ghana, West Africa. Her horse, Noah, is wondering when she'll finally get tired of steak and ale pies and come back home to Colorado.

Christopher Bayer
Christopher studied Biochemistry (B.Sc./M.Sc.) at Technische Universität München (TUM). During his time in Munich, he was involved in outreach activities of TUM's Chemistry Department ("Go Biochem", an introductory series of lectures and laboratory practicals in biochemistry, aiming at students of German Oberstufe/A-levels). Currently a third year PhD student in biochemistry, studying mechanism, evolution and engineering of enzymes. Started getting involved in writing and public outreach with The Triple Helix this year.

Francesca Day
Francesca is in her fourth year studying Natural Sciences at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, specializing in physics. She became involved with The Triple Helix as Outreach Director and then President of the Cambridge chapter in her first year, as well as contributing as a writer. From February 2010 - April 2012, Francesca was COO Europe for the Triple Helix, and organised the first Triple Helix Science in Society Conference. Outside of her work with The Triple Helix, Francesca continues to take part in public science outreach projects and in scientific research.

Gaylen Sinclair
Gaylen Sinclair is in her third year studying Geography at Newnham College, Cambridge,specializing in physical geography. She is a member of the Outreach Team of the Triple Helix in Cambridge, helping to organise and deliver workshops and conferences for schools. Outside of the Triple Helix, Gaylen loves playing football and tuba with the Cambridge Brass Band.
